Swatches

A conceptual project proposing the use of 'swatches' - physical, tablet-like samples of wall textures and surfaces hanging, leaning, or placed in space - as an alternative approach to the installation and exhibtion of artworks. These 'swatches' seek to make reference to other locations and contexts (domestic, institutional, conceptual, etc.), subverting their site and drawing the world of an artwork intrusively into the experience one has with it, wherever it may be shown.

Moving forward, I'm currently looking to collaborate with other artists and try making these swatches for / with a broad variety of works of different mediums and aesthetics in in mind. If you are at all interested, or you just want to discuss the idea, please feel free to get in contact.
